Joni Rogers-Kante, Founder, CEO and Chairwoman

Joni is the visionary and driving force behind SeneGence®. Her dream, of developing a company that offered an unparalleled opportunity for Distributors to build a business by selling products that truly work, through a global network opportunity, has become a phenomenal success.

Joni began her career at 16 years of age, working for the Sav-On Corporation. By the age of 23, she was the Assistant Manager of the top store in the Sav-On chain. Having learned from high level management, buyers and operations experts, she knew the corporate structure was not for her. Armed with a vision and her business education, she pursued her dream of being an entrepreneur. Joni was introduced to a direct selling cosmetic company and recognized the incredible opportunity the industry offered to women. Joni's 13-year direct selling career produced jewelry, cars, awards, trips and recognition yet, more importantly, a burning desire to create a plan for the establishment of her own company which we now know as SeneGence.

Joni’s role as CEO and Chairwoman allows her to oversee the development of new products, the marketing of all the SeneGence products, as well as the creation of the training programs and overall vision for the company. Joni is also founder of the nonprofit The Make Sense Foundation®, which aims to assist women and children in crisis through the regular fundraising efforts of SeneGence Distributors and the donation of portions of the sales from select products.

Philippe Guerreau, President

Philippe Guerreau has held the position of President at SeneGence since March 2017.  Philippe has proven lasting beauty industry success, has the executive ability to develop, implement and influence best practices in the discipline of sales dynamic, marketing creativity, corporate budgeting, purchasing, forecasting, supply chain management, and inventory management.

Philippe was previously a VP at L’Oréal USA, and was in charge of finance for North American manufacturing operations, as well as plant expansions and manufacturing cost optimization projects. He held a number of strategic positions within the L’Oréal management team over the years, including demand planning, stock strategy, credit and long term supply of finished goods.  His specialties include team leadership, organizational development, financial planning and analysis, budget development, staff management, change management, and process improvement.

He worked with global companies present in nearly 35 countries with employees across six continents.  He held CFO, business development, and President & CEO roles in industries such as construction products, building distribution, industrial engineering and metal cutting-aerospace.  He has been part of forward-thinking industrial solutions that anticipate client needs in terms of profitability, safety and compliance with environmental standards.

Philippe served as a member of the SeneGence Advisory Board as our Finance Expert for over four years. As he has been heavily involved in providing strategic support to the SeneGence executive team during the recent years of growth, we are honored to have his talents in a permanent role on the SeneGence team.

Philippe has a Master’s degree in Management from the Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP), and a BSBA in International Economics from the University of Arkansas.

Michael Moad, Chief Legal Officer

Michael joined SeneGence in 2001 from the field of law, having obtained his Juris Doctorate, graduating Cum Laude in 1979. He subsequently practiced law in Orange County, California for 22 years.  

Michael initially helped to consolidate the structure of the Company and its Distributor force, writing the company’s policies and procedures and establishing a department to administer those policies fairly and consistently. Currently, Michael and his team oversee the company's patent rights, trademarks and copyrights. As former President, Michael worked alongside Founder Joni Rogers-Kante, to lead SeneGence to expand its product line and support Distributors in successfully managing and growing their independent businesses.

Michael donates his time, expertise and funds to several local charities, in a long standing belief that doing so is part of a full and well-rounded life. In addition, Michael presently acts as the Secretary of The Make Sense Foundation, SeneGence’s nonprofit entity.

Ben Kante, Chief Strategy Officer

Ben utilizes his vast knowledge in Business Information Systems, Quantitative Analysis and Digital Media Art to fill the role of Chief Strategy Officer for SeneGence. Ben designed the seamless international Distributor accounting methodology, many of the internal operation systems and he completely re-organized the media department, creating printed materials, training videos and a new website. Ben maintains the daily role of CSO for all of SeneGence’s daily multi-faceted operations and internal and external media and production facilities.

Enriched with varied life experiences, Ben has obtained a United States Coast Guard Master's License for 100-ton vessels and possesses proven skills at successfully managing resort and dive fleets around the world. As an internationally published writer, photographer and award winning videographer and film maker, his works can be found around the world. He attended Mississippi State University, Orange Coast College, NAUI SCUBA Instructor College and is an Eagle Scout.

Steve Jarvi, Chief Operating Officer

Steve has extensive experience in the cosmetics industry, having held responsibility as COO at a major cosmetics company located in the greater Los Angeles area, as well as holding the position as Vice President, Operation and Finance for a hair care company in Irvine. He has extensive cross functional team work and timeline experience in the execution of new products with marketing, sales, product development, packaging design, and QA knowledge and experience.  He has developed and executed inventory strategies via contract manufacturers achieving 100% fill-rate and has implemented ERP systems, finance, purchasing, forecasting, inventory and order entry systems.  He has worked as COO for a company located in Moorpark, CA, which led to a turnaround on rebuilding infrastructure, improving operational performance and expanding top-line and margin contribution of key account sales channels including USA and Hong Kong locations.

Steve has an MBA from Cal State Poly University and a Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University.  He enjoys supporting the Second Harvest Foodbank of Orange and is active in the community.

Jerome S. Kaiser, Chief Financial Officer, CPA, MS, CFE

Jerome has served as SeneGence Chief Financial Officer (CFO) since September 2016.  Prior to SeneGence he served as the Chief Financial Officer of Stemtech HealthSciences and ORYXE International, Inc.®  Jerome began his career in public accounting at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Century City, CA and has served in financial management positions with such notable companies as Liz Claiborne, Mikasa, Meguiar’s®, and Ultramar. He is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the California State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  Jerome received his Master’s degree in business taxation from California State University and graduated with honors from Pepperdine University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

Tom Doria, Chief Information Officer

Tom is a technology executive leader with over three decades of experience in network architecture, video conferencing, application development and systems engineering.  Tom started his career in the computer industry as an Application Program Developer and has held multiple senior management roles in the distributed computing and telecommunication industries throughout his career.  Tom joined Cisco’s Telepresence Technology Group in 2011 and today, leads Cisco’s Strategic Marketing Organizations Collaboration team which focuses on competitive and strategic market trends in the collaboration technology market space.

Prior to joining SeneGence, Tom led Polycom’s Systems Engineering organization for the Western United States (Ohio to Hawaii) and was a member of Polycom’s Product Executive Review Board.  Tom has also served as the VP of Network and Telecommunications at Trust Company of the West (TCW), a major investment house and wealth management firm, where he was responsible for worldwide network communications including voice and video applications. Tom also worked at Avaya for 10 years in multiple leadership roles, including serving as Avaya’s Service Provider Program Director, VP of Application Centers of Excellence, and Chairman of Avaya’s SIP virtual engineering team.  Finally, Tom is an acknowledged subject matter expert in the areas of visual collaboration and network architecture.  He has authored multiple white papers and presentations on the subjects of video collaboration, Unified Communications, SIP, and SIP trunking including the recently published “The Great Codec Debate” and the popular “SIP for Dummies Text.”

Tom also sits on the Board of Directors for the Visual Communications Industry Group, an independent organization dedicated to working to influence the development of industry-based standards for multimedia collaboration technologies and applications, to improve industry products and services, and to facilitate the exchange of information among its members.

Tom holds a degree in Business Administration and has received advanced training in network protocols and architectures from multiple technical institutes including Bell Labs.

Christopher Simonian, Chief Sales and Development Officer

Chris joined SeneGence International in December 2016, as our Chief Sales and Development Officer. He brings extensive experience in innovative sales and marketing strategies. He worked with the late Mark Hughes at Herbalife® early in his career to expand their product line and enhance their compensation plan which resulted in growth of over $100 million. He was also Founder and President of Team Beachbody®, in the networking arm of Beachbody®. During his 30-year career, he has built successful sales organizations worldwide through the collaborative development of unique products and services combined with the implementation of highly effective sales, recruiting and training methods. He has built teams, created compensation plans, and built training and support materials that increased company revenue in the millions in sales. He also holds patents on inventions which have won him a number of awards around the world. Chris was Vice President of Marketing for a company located in Freemont, CA, as well as Vice President of Sales for a company located in Beverly Hills. Chris holds an MBA and MIM from Thunderbird School of Global Management, and International Marketing.

Alan Rogers Kante, Owner/CXO, Chief Experience Officer

Alan joins SeneGence from the University of California, where he received degrees in Philosophy and Psychology [with an emphasis in Industrial Psychology]. His position remains flexible, as he engages in the cultural development at the SeneGence corporate headquarters in California and offices internationally. His skills help with development of long and short-term strategic planning, the sculpting of modern social decisions, research and analysis, and the acquisition of new personnel. Feel free to get to know him on any Sene-trip as your aide and liaison!

Leslie Boyd-Bradley, Vice President of Distributor Development and Sales

With close to 40 years of experience, Leslie has enjoyed a successful career in direct sales. She began as a Distributor at the age of 18, and worked her way up in the industry from Top Franchise Owner to VP and Regional Manager with Tupperware®. There she led the Northwest and Pacific regions in developing new markets. As Vice President of Personal Development, Leslie develops training programs, compensation plans, incentive programs, and marketing strategies and is responsible for working directly with SeneGence Independent Distributors to help them grow their businesses and support their individual success. A natural at personal and team coaching, her sales, personal development and training expertise benefits Distributors of all levels in ways that create motivation and helps them advance their business and leadership skills.

Kirsten Aguilar, Vice President of Marketing

With close to 15 years of inside experience in direct sales and the beauty industry, Kirsten manages the sales and international growth goals of SeneGence while overseeing a marketing, graphic design, and public relations team responsible for print, packaging, web and media content. Kirsten joined SeneGence in 2009 with a focus on leading its market and brand strategies, including new product launches, promotions, events and print and web collateral. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications with a special certificate in Public Relations. Kirsten is also a board member of the nonprofit The Make Sense Foundation.

Lara Bolton, Senior Vice President of Sales

With over 27 years of experience in the MLM/Network Marketing industry, Lara is responsible for managing the business/sales development, marketing, and training of the company’s global operations. She joined SeneGence International in mid-2017 with a background as a consultant and in multiple corporate team roles, including VP of Sales, VP of Business Development, and Regional/Distributor/Customers Services/Investor Relations Manager. Lara’s extensive knowledge in the industry is due in part to her having been a Top Distributor/Enroller in multiple MLM companies. She is also passionate about mentoring and guiding others, and works effortlessly as the Co-founder and Executive Director of an unregistered nonprofit, The Westcoast Soulfood Society - that distributes food and clothing to homeless persons in Vancouver, B.C.

Karen Goodman, Senior Vice President of Global Recognition

Karen is a direct sales veteran with over 20 years of experience in sales, marketing, training, and program development. Having worked for such companies as Mary Kay®, Arbonne®, Shaklee®, and LifePharm® Global Network, her primary focus and commitment has always been to support Independent Distributors as they work to grow and develop sustainable businesses. Karen’s extensive knowledge and respect of the direct sales industry has helped to propel companies and their valued Independent Distributors toward achieving their goals. Between 2001 and 2006 – Karen worked directly with Joni to develop many of the original recognition programs and incentives for SeneGence which are currently still active today.

Charles Miller, Vice President of Manufacturing

Charlie was named Vice President of Manufacturing in July 2017 and is responsible for construction and manufacturing operations oversight in SeneGence’s California and Oklahoma offices. With over 30 years of extensive experience from working in Fortune 500 companies, including Unilever, Coty US and the Marietta® Corporation, across the US and abroad, Charlie has delivered end-to-end supply chain results within the consumer-packaged good industry. Charlie is an accomplished Supply Chain Operations Executive with a proven track record in focusing on zero-loss performance management and a KPI-driven culture to deliver continuous improvements through personnel, processes, and tools. His operating philosophy includes a combination of the following principles: leadership & communication, strategy development, in-depth knowledge of TPM techniques (JIPM methodology), health-check auditing, and technical expertise. Charlie was born and raised on a small farm in North Carolina by parents, Myrtle McMillan Miller and Charlie Miller, Sr. According to Charlie, Jr., they were the “best parents that have ever lived.” He loves all things outdoors including fishing, cycling, tennis, and of course—car racing of any type. “A Carolina Tar Heel fan to the bone!”

Jose Fermin, Chief Research and Development Officer

With over 30 years in the health and beauty industry, Jose brings his diversified experience in all areas of product development including: formulation, testing, manufacturing, quality control and global regulatory compliance. Prior to joining SeneGence, he worked at Dermalogica® for 11 years creating retail and professional skin care products. He has also created products in various beauty categories for other major brands such as Bath and Body Works®, Estee Lauder, and Paul Mitchell to name a few.  His constant exposure to new ingredients and technology from suppliers all over the world allows him to create unique innovative products that are highly functional and top quality.

Jose is heavily involved in the evaluation of packaging components, implementation of manufacturing processes, as well as in monitoring product quality from start to finish. Control measures are regularly updated to ensure the highest level of product quality and product integrity achievable. Jose also conducts a regular review of ingredients used in SeneGence products to make sure they are in full compliance with all local and international regulatory requirements, which is an important aspect to consider as we continue to move forward with our global expansion program.

Jose holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry and a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.  He is an active member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC), American Chemical Society (ACS), and American Society for Quality (ASQ).

Brian Manahan, Vice President of Lean Management

Brian joins Senegence with close to 30 years of experience in financial management, contract negotiation, financial analysis, leadership development, strategic planning and more. He encompasses a broad range of skills in operations, research and development, finance, accounting, information technology and legal. He has held the title of Chief Financial Officer with companies in various industries, where he was instrumental in developing business plans, companywide policies and procedures, sales ROI tools and forecasting models. He has also worked with several startup businesses where he created business plans, implemented ERP systems, developed compensation plans, and managed venture capital and private equity relationships.

Brian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from California State Polytechnic University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from University of Southern California.
